Week 1:
This week, I started planning my first character for the photo shoot. I wanted my character to show some sort of negative trait that people had through the use of Photoshop. I was inspired by the character two face, who was a villain in the batman comic series created by DC.
Week 2:
This week I needed to figure out how I would show my character’s personality through photo manipulation. After scrolling through Instagram, I remember that I followed an artist who had a unique style where he would separate faces and create unique images as seen below.

I immediately thought that these images would be the main inspiration behind my image and it was an excellent way of showcasing my character’s two faced personality.
Week 3:
This week I finalised my first photo and decided how my photo would be taken and how I would edit it in Photoshop. I also thought about my next two characters, which would both be based on someone’s emotions on the inside.
Week 4:
This week I decided on my last two idea for the images. Since I wanted to do something related to emotions, I centred my ideas around sadness because I felt like it was easy to show. The first one would be depicting depression, and one’s fight with with mind and ultimately tearing them self apart. I knew that depression was in most cases a mental problem, so I wanted the main focus of the image to be on the person’s head. I planned to Photoshop half of my head away from the other half and stitch lines in between them like the seams connecting them were about to break. The other image was something I had been inspired by from movies where characters would have a hard time on making decisions due to their inner self telling them to do a bad thing or a good thing. It was centred around having a ‘good side and bad side’ to your inner self. I chose to capture this by taking a picture of someone looking like they are being conflicted between their decision. I would then stitch wings to either side of myself and have one side purple and the other side yellow, like the theme angels and demons.
Week 5:
This week I took my photos are home since the school was unavailable. It only took around half an hour to get some decent shots and the rest of the night was spent on photoshop editing my images. My ideas were simple but I believed they conveyed a lot of meaning behind each of them.
Week 6:
This week I collected my 2 images from school and went home to stitch both of them. It only took a few hours since I had to take some breaks in between. I finished the task and I believe that there weren’t any problems during the task since it was pretty straightforward to do at home.
